Shannon Madsen Keuter is a researcher in the Research and Evaluation program at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). Shannon has extensive experience in early childhood education research, primarily in the area of language development. She also leads and collaborates on tasks and projects in technical assistance for school improvement. Her responsibilities include conducting designing and conducting trainings, leading data collection components, managing classroom observations, facilitating co-interpretations, recruiting school districts, administering interviews and focus groups, and translating documents from and into Spanish. Prior to joining AIR, Shannon completed master’s degrees in Education and in Linguistics, both from the University of California at Los Angeles. Shannon also holds a certificate in Spanish-English translation from New York University.
